I. Introduction
Door Report is a sysop utility for Wildcat 3.xx, which will analyze
door usage by reading the ACTIVITY.xxx file(s). This program can be
used with multi-node systems. But if any of the ACTIIVITY.XXX files
are missing, the program will terminate.
The following files should be included in the zip file:
DOOR.EXE - The executable portion of Door Report
DOOR.DOC - The file you are reading right now
DOOR.CFG - Config file for use with Door Report
ORDERFRM.DOC - Registration form
SAMPLE.TXT - Sample bulletin (mono) created with Door Report
CATALOG.TXT - Listing of other Wildcat programs written by UP
Technologies, Inc.
If any of these files are missing, you can always download the latest
version of Door Report from The Upper Limit BBS at (410) 860-0212.
II. Running Door Report
Before running Door Report, you must first edit the config file,
DOOR.CFG. Any ASCII text editor can be used. The format for the file
is listed below:
The Upper Limit BBS <---BBS Name
1 <---# of Nodes (up to 250)
4 <---Number of Doors (up to 999)
Easy Quote <---Name of Door #1
Speak Up <---Name of Door #2
List-A-Board <---Name of Door #3
Rate-A-Door <---Name of Door #4
NOTE: Make sure the number of doors and door names are equal!
To run the program, type the following at the DOS prompt:
DOOR <ENTER>
If either the ACTIVITY.XXX or the DOOR.CFG files are missing, the
program will terminate.
Upon completion of running Door Report, two new files will be created:
DOOR_RPT.BBS (color and uses WC3 color codes), and DOOR_RPT.TXT (mono
and plain ASCII).
IV. Registration
Door Report is not free, or in the public domain. It is shareware, which
means that you are expected to pay for it if you find it useful.
Registration is only $5 US. If you use Door Report for more than one
month, you should register it. For more information on registering,
refer to the ORDERFRM.DOC file.
